How Counseling Can Help Your Child

Every child faces challenges as they grow, learn, and navigate the world around them. Sometimes those challenges can affect their emotions, behavior, relationships, or success at school. Counseling provides a safe, supportive environment where children can express their thoughts and feelings, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and learn ways to manage difficult emotions.

Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, behavioral concerns, social difficulties, family changes, grief, or stress, counseling can help them better understand themselves and strengthen the skills they need to thrive. Through a caring and collaborative approach, I work alongside children and their families to support emotional well-being, foster resilience, and encourage healthy development.

Meet the Counselor

Elizabeth Champion

Hi, I’m Liz, a Licensed Professional Counselor with nine years of experience working with children and their families across a variety of settings. I am passionate about supporting children’s emotional growth and helping families navigate challenges with compassion and collaboration. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time in nature through activities like kayaking, fishing, walking, and riding my dune buggy. I also love relaxing in a hammock with a good mystery novel and spending time with my dog, Harley, a 70-pound pup who is convinced she’s a lap dog.
